My name is Andy Graham, I am 27 years old and I live in
Northampton. I have been involved in sport since I was a kid.
Karate was my first love, and then I discovered rugby. When I
was still at school I joined Northampton Phoenix Athletics club,
as a discus thrower and sprinter. I managed to throw a Great
Britain qualifying distance, and won a couple of medals on the
way, but it was the sprint training that was invaluable to what
I`m doing today.
My love of rugby continued, I played for my local junior
club, Northampton Old Scouts, until I hit 19 years old. The
following season I moved to New Zealand to play Under 21 rugby.
After a string of injuries I was forced to retire from rugby,
aged 21. This was when I decided to become a personal trainer.
After completing my training with YMCA fitness, Inner Strength
Personal Training was started.
As a personal trainer, I have coached over one hundred people
on a “one to one” basis. I have trained two local rugby teams,
and taught over seven different fitness classes throughout the
town. I have gained the following qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 YMCA Personal Trainer
NVQ Level 3 YMCA Fitness Training for the Older Adult
NVQ Level 3 YMCA Nutrition and Weight Management
NVQ Level 3 YMCA Fitness Assessment
NVQ Level 3 YMCA GP Referrals, Medical Conditions and Exercise
NVQ Level 3 YMCA Ante and Postnatal Exercise
International Diploma in Speed Agility and Quickness
